
James Beeton won the Scottish Open Open event at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew, Scotland, with Target sponsoring the weekend as part of the Target Scottish Open and Classic. The tournament was a World Darts Federation ranked Silver event, and the finals were played live on stage from 5pm.
Beeton defeated Dylan Slevin 5-3 in the final, averaging 91.16 to Slevin’s 88.24 in a high-quality decider. The win completed an excellent Sunday campaign for Beeton, who came through a series of tight matches in the latter stages to claim the title.

Beeton was pushed all the way in the semi-finals, edging Michael Thomson 5-4 after Thomson had produced a strong run of his own. Slevin reached the final in emphatic style, whitewashing Alex Williams 5-0 in his semi-final and producing one of the standout performances of the day with a 94.23 average as he defeated Patrick Quinn 4-1 in the quarter-finals.
In the last 16, Beeton impressed with a 92.75 average in a 4-2 win over Darren Johnson, while Slevin produced a clinical 4-0 victory over Christian Ennis, averaging 96.97. Alex Williams also caught the eye, posting a 100.27 average as he beat Ryan Hogarth 4-1 to reach the quarter-finals.
