Mitchell Lawrie secured his second title of the night at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew, Scotland, winning the Scottish Open Youth event in style. The tournament formed part of the Target Scottish Open weekend and was ranked as a Platinum event by the World Darts Federation. The finals were played live on stage from 5pm.
Lawrie defeated Ryan Branley 4-2 in the final, averaging 91.19 in a high-quality contest. Branley impressed with an 87.23 average but Lawrie’s scoring power and composure in the key legs proved decisive as he lifted his second trophy of the evening.

Lawrie produced one of the standout performances of the tournament in the semi-finals, averaging a superb 101.55 in his 3-2 victory over Owen Bryceland. Earlier in the event he averaged 94.13 in the last 16 and 92.02 in the quarter-finals, underlining the consistency that carried him to the title.
Branley also showed excellent form on his run to the final, including a 93.94 average in both the Top 32 and Top 16 stages, and a strong 3-2 quarter-final win over Ben Townley before defeating Oscar Saxton 3-0 in the semi-finals.
The Scottish Open Youth event once again highlighted the depth of emerging talent, with a series of high averages and closely fought matches throughout the day.
